Applications Systems Analysis/Management
An application systems analyst reviews, analyzes, and modifies programming systems. This includes encoding, testing, debugging and installing to support an organization's application systems. Other duties include consulting with users to identify current operating procedures and to clarify program objectives.

Managerial levels in this field focus on overall system design. This includes documenting development requirements for database, applications, and operation system environment, consulting with end users to test and debug applications to meet client needs, and serving an expert advising role in all aspects of designing and application development. Training of IS/IT staff may also be involved.
